Peridot Social Events

IT'S EASY BEING GREEN SOCIAL CLUB

As everybody is now aware, Peridot Theatre is celebrating its 25th anniversary and we want everyone to join in. The best way to do this is by holding a series of events all through the year.

The company also sees this social interaction as a means by which new members can get to know other members, and existing members can get together to catch-up with friends and relive old memories.

Peridot is proud of the wonderful atmosphere that is evident amongst its casts, crews, FOH helpers and other volunteers. So we encourage all to join us in the celebrations not only now but for the next 25 years.

Social Events 2010

Throughout the year this page will be updated with social events that are being held at Peridot - functions such as Trivia nights, lunches and Awards nights. Make sure you come back to this page to keep up to date.

For catering purposes bookings will need to be made prior to each event. All bookings will be taken by Gaye on 5988 0229 or Robyn Fowler on 9700 6463.


  1. Sunday February 28th at 9.00am : Breakfast at the Unicorn.
    Our inaugural get together for Bacon, Eggs, Toast and Marmalade plus Tea and Coffee.
    Cost - All for $5.00.
    Theme - Green everything!
  2. Sunday March 28th at 9.00am : Breakfast at the Unicorn. Chicken and Champagne provided by the company, but everybody brings a chocolate egg to exchange for Easter.
    Cost - All for $5.00.
    Theme - Green Easter Bonnets!!
  3. Saturday May 22nd at 7.00pm : 25th Anniversary Trivia Night.
    Venue - Sunset Room at the Waverley RSL, 161 Coleman Parade,Glen Waverley.
    Hosted by Stephen Barber. Special section on Peridot's History trivia. This will have a Special prize attached but will not be included in final result.
    Cost - $15 per head. This will include a light supper of party pies, sausage rolls and quiches to be served at 9pm. We will also be providing cake with tea and coffee. Drinks will be available from the bar at reasonable prices. It is suggested that everyone have a meal prior to coming. Consider booking early, as we can only accommodate 100 participants.

  4. Sunday June 27 at 2.30pm : High Tea at the Unicorn.
    Peridot will provide an assortment of goodies, including an Anniversary Cake.
    Cost - All for $5.00.
    Theme - Green.
  5. Saturday August 7 at 7.00pm : Peridot 25th Anniversary Party.
    Jazz music and supper of hot and cold snacks will be provided. Drinks available at bar prices
    This will also include an audio visual display to commemorate 25 years of wonderful history, courtesy of Tobin Brothers.
    Venue - Sunset Room at the Waverley RSL, 161 Coleman Parade,Glen Waverley.
    Theme - Dress to Impress!
    Cost - $25
  6. Sunday September 19 : One Act Play Festival.
    As part of our 25th Anniversary, afternoon tea will include a cake to share with all at the theatre for the final awards ceremony.
