Season 2008

On behalf of the Peridot Board of Management it gives me great pleasure to announce our programme for 2008. We have chosen a diverse and interesting selection of plays that we feel will appeal to all who appreciate good theatre.

For 2008 we have changed the format of the season. There will now be a matinee performance on the first Sunday of the run, and the second matinee will be on the second Saturday. We will be reinstating the Tuesday performance in the last week of each season.

Peridot is fortunate to have obtained the services of Peter Newling and Ron Conroy as our guest directors for this year whilst our other two fine directors, Gaye Gay and Frank McCarty are well known to Peridot audiences for their past productions. All four highly respected directors bring with them a wealth of experience and creativity.

You will also note that once again you have the option of attending a season of One Act plays and with only four performances these short plays, directed by Gaye Gay and guest director Trevor Bickerstaff, are worth considering as an inclusion to your subscription.

Our aim at Peridot is to promote and support affordable theatre within the community and in doing so achieve a standard of excellence that establishes us as one of the leading non- professional companies in Melbourne.
